Today's weekly morning meeting shares: Water Sports - Diving

Diving is an elegant water sport that involves leaping into the water from a high platform or springboard, performing various aerial movements and postures, and entering the water in a specific manner.

The origin of this sport dates back to the 5th century BC. Currently, major competitions include the World Swimming Championships, Diving World Cup, and the Olympic Games.

According to the regulations of the International Swimming Federation (FINA), the diving competition venue must meet the following requirements:

The pool area should be 25m * 25m with a depth of 4.5m.

High platform: 10m tall, minimum length of 6m, and width of 3m.

Springboard: The 3m springboard should have a minimum length of 4.8m and a width of 0.5m.

Each diving action is assigned a specific code: Actions in groups 1-4 are designated with 3-digit codes, actions in group 5 are designated with 4-digit codes, and actions in group 6 use 3-digit codes.

Each diving action is assigned a corresponding degree of difficulty, determined based on differences in action groups, competition events (springboard or platform), height of the apparatus, posture, and the number of somersaults and twists.
